Mink’A facilitated the All together now? days at Medialab Prado, a meeting space for debating/dialoguing/commenting on the present state of affairs and the possibilities that are currently emerging around collaborative artistic practices. The programme includes an open meeting and a full-day workshop, both spaces designed to offer an experimental environment that promotes critical thinking and the development of new practical approaches.
“Participation, collaboration, empowerment, agents, horizontality are concepts that have been incorporated with staggering ease into our cultural and political vocabulary in recent times. However, they have not always been used consistently, and in some cases they have changed their original meanings. Such cacophony begs the question: What do we really want to say with all of this terminology – especially in the context of collaborative or contextual artistic practices?” With this in mind, the organizers of the workshops sparked the Hablarenarte debate.
The result, collected from the graphic minutes taken by Pablo Navarro of ZEMOS98, can be seen here.
This meeting is included in the framework of activities of the Collaborative Arts Partnership Programme (CAPP), a programme for which groups including Hablarenarte are developing a publication on these artistic practices in Spain. The principle concepts addressed in its texts and interviews are the basis and point of departure for the programmed activities. (The texts and interviews are available for your reference here.)
