In the run-up to the American Election 2004 the world took a significant interest in the outcome of what actually is a national election. The Meeting depicts the events of one meeting of a local activist group in East London. As they watch video-footage from the Republican Convention in New York and later discuss their opinions and vent their frustrations. Utterly a futile engagement but all the more necessary as big politics plays out locally.
